OK, so I had fun with this one. I suck it up for the most part, and screw up pretty much all of the lyrics, but this song is hilarious on a ukulele.

Babyshambles - Albion

From the first Doherty album post-Libertines (at least, the first post-Libertines--we'll see how long this recent reunion lasts). The song is great when he plays it live, but damn if this band doesn't suck.

Also, I realized halfway through playing it that the tab I was using was missing all but the first verse, bridge, and chorus, so it's all screwed up. It still sounds alright, though, in my opinion. And that's all that matters.

The Rolling Stones - Stray Cat Blues

Although it sounds nothing like Heroine by the Velvet Underground like they said the tune was based off, it's still a great song. I have no idea how to sing like Mick, though!

The Libertines - France

This probably won't be the only Libertines song I cover. This band kicks enormous amounts of ass.

This particular tune belongs to Carl Barat, who stuck it in as a hidden track after "What Became of the Likely Lads" on their 2004 album.

Tiny Tim - Tip Toe Through the Tulips

An eerily cheery song by the immortal Tiny Tim. I don't do it justice at all.

The Beatles - Rocky Raccoon

I know, I know--something from the White Album? Really? But this song rules, even more so on the uke.

The Kinks - Holiday

From their "country" album, Holiday's a pretty damned great song to play in the morning--as chill as my cup of coffee.

Stevie Wonder - Superstition

Proof that you don't need to be all that great to cover Stevie Wonder! This song is fan-fuckin'-tastic.

Bob Dylan - All Along the Watchtower

Cliche? Absolutely. Brilliant? Yes. Do I utterly deface it? Oh yeah.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man

This is me making up for missing Friday. Busy day that began too early.

A classic that I butcher appropriately!

Dawes - That Western Skyline

From the debut album of a decent LA folk rock band. I hear The Band, some Niel Young, and Dylan.

Oasis - Let There Be Love

Many critics thought this was their return to form back in 2005, and the lyrics are, to be sure, very well done. Followup albums, though, were pretty disappointing.

Still, this song is lovely. I only hope I didn't butcher it.

Neil Young - Hey Hey, My My

Kicking things off with a bad ass Neil Young song about the future of rock and roll.
